Jacob M. Luna

Founder / Partner

A University of California, Los Angeles graduate, Mr. Luna went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School (Los Angeles). Since becoming a member of the California State Bar in 2003, Mr. Luna has practiced exclusively as a workers’ compensation defense attorney, bringing more than 25 years of specialized experience to his practice.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Luna has established himself as one of the more aggressive and effective defense attorneys within the workers’ compensation community. He has developed a strong reputation for achieving favorable results for his clients, including numerous take-nothings, claim dismissals, and nuisance-value settlements.

Mr. Luna takes a results-driven approach to every case, with a focus on moving claims toward resolution rather than allowing them to remain unnecessarily open and unresolved. He is known for identifying opportunities to defeat or minimize claims, aggressively defending his clients’ interests, and strategically pursuing early resolution when it is in the client’s best interest. His goal is simple: protect the client, achieve the best possible outcome, and close the file.

Eric E. Silva

Founder / Partner

One of the firm's founding partners, Mr. Silva graduated from the University of California Riverside with a Bachelor's Degree in History in 1993. He subsequently attended the University of San Francisco earning his Juris Doctorate in 1996. A member of the California State Bar since 1996, Mr. Silva began his career with a Northern California firm specializing in Civil Litigation and Workers Compensation. There, he successfully represented plaintiffs and applicants in all phases of litigation. In 2000, Mr. Silva began exclusively practicing in the field of Workers Compensation defense. Since that time, he has devoted his practice to the defense of employers and companies, both large and small.

Ryan M. Esse

Senior Associate

A graduate of San Diego State University with a degree in Criminal justice, Ryan earned his law degree in 2016 from California Western School of Law where he received several honors for his participation in probono legal services. Admitted to the California State Bar in 2016, Mr. Esse briefly practiced in San Diego before moving back to the Los Angeles area where he grew up. Mr. Esse first gained experienced in the field of workers compensation representing injured workers and medical providers and now uses that experience to effectively defend our clients here at Luna Silva Law.

Nicholas M. Corona

Senior Associate

Mr. Corona graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a degree in History and Law and Society. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of La Verne College of Law. While in Law school, he was honored for his Pro Bono work for volunteering over 100 hours of legal service at the San Bernardino District Attorney's Office. Admitted to the California State Bar in 2018, Mr. Corona immediately began practicing with a Southern California firm specializing in Civil Litigation, Criminal Defense and Workers' Compensation. In addition to a wide variety of experience, Mr. Corona prides himself on his aggressive advocacy for clients, as well as his clear communication and ability to formulate a plan tailored to each client's best interests.
